善美见子女们都不长进，担心自己一旦病逝，子女们无法自力更生，在前来安慰她的辉京怀里痛哭，被耀宗看现。耀宗误会辉京乘虚而入，与他发生冲突。善美极力阻止，结果昏迷倒地。辉京这时才透露善美患癌症的真相，耀宗感震惊！

Shanmei is worried that if she passes away due to her sickness, her children would not be independent enough to support themselves. She cries in the arms of Huijing who tries to comfort her, but is seen be Yaozong. Yaozong misunderstands and confronts Huijing. In Shanmei’s attempts to stop this, she falls unconscious to the ground. Huijing then reveals the truth about Shanmei’s sickness and Yaozong is devastated!
